amber is back. she had an interesting time there. she said it is such a surreal experience. apparently, burkina faso is the 4th poorest country in the world. she and andi also went to ghana to see the coast.
she's glad to be home, but it seems she is glad she went.
there are tons of photos (i have uploaded a few): check them out...

my amberina is on her way back from africa. i thought she was leaving today, but she actually left burkina faso last night, arrived in paris this morning (6am paris time), and is now in the air bound for detroit.
she called last tuesday just as i was heading into my property class. i didnt recognize the phone number and almost didnt answer. glad i did.
i still have no new pictures because amber has our camera. when she gets back, i will make sure to post a ton of her pix from the trip.

Let us hope that the whores of evil no longer loiter on the doorsteps of your path beckoning you into the brothel of despair, and that hereinafter you may present them with the most rigid manifestations of a firm and manly will. Ad astra per aspera.

Jack was not innocent: he used to run over dogs...just think of it...
my beloved is in africa. i miss her already. she sent an email yesterday saying she got in ok. i am super jealous: i wish i was there, too. rather, i am here in the cold, studying as usual.
which brings up another issue: i have to find a job for the summer. i have been meeting with the career planning office at school to work on my resume and cover letters. they suggested i apply for one of two positions at sherwin-williams. it is for a clerkship in general corporate law. although i am amenable to a wide array of areas and dont have any legal employment thus far, i hesitate to commit to a year-long job doing something i really dont think i want to practice after i graduate. i also really want to get into the externship program and possibly work for a judge for a semester. i dunno...
